The RagBall Accumulator–The Road to Europe!

 

The RagBall Accumulator is a unique three in one league system.  Both games: RagBall Soccer & RagBall Rugby are separated into 3 Leagues with prizes; Autumn, Winter & Spring.  Accumulator points will be awarded to all eight teams in each division of each category (please look to RagBall Soccer & RagBall Rugby on our website: www.ragball.ie for information on Categories and Divisions) at the end of each league, which are then totalled.  Bonus/Minus* points are also added or deducted to this total.

  • With 8 teams per division, the top team will get 800 points, the second team: 700 points, the third team 600 points and so forth… the bottom team receiving 100 points. (see Points Chart below)

  • These points are banked in the RagBall Accumulator Bank.  Bonus points and minus points* will be added or deducted from the total, where appropriate (see Points Chart below).
  • At the conclusion of the 3 leagues the Accumulator points earned by each team will be added and the team with the highest points in each category will progress to the All Ireland Finals where the Ultimate winners in each category will win the RagBall European Cup and a trip to the Munich Festival in October 2009. (Approx 4 day trip which includes flights, accommodation, transfers and reserved tables in the beer tents, sight seeing and a RagBall game against a host club is also planned)

Points are awarded after completion of the Autumn League and banked. These are then added to the Accumulator (AC) points the team earns in the Winter League and banked again. At the conclusion of the Spring League the 3 sets of AC points are totalled and the team with the highest points goes forward into the All Ireland Play Off’s.

 

Bonus Points*:

  • 5 AC bonus points = hat trick in any one game (RagBall Soccer)
  • 5 AC bonus points = clean sheet in any one game (RagBall Soccer)
  • 5 AC bonus points = 5 female tries in any one game (RagBall Rugby)
  • 5 AC bonus points = win by a margin of 10 points in any one game (RagBall Rugby)
  • 10 AC bonus points = Team of the Month # 
  • 10 AC bonus points – Manager of the Month #

 

Minus Points*:

  • 5 AC minus points = for yellow card
  • 10 AC minus points = for red card
  • 10 AC minus points = for conceding a walk over
  • 20 AC minus points = Playing and illegal player in any one game.  In the case of an appeal not being upheld minus points are doubled to 40.
  • 20 AC minus points = A team making an unsubstantiated objection about an illegal player

 

 ‘Team of the League’ Criteria#:
 

  • Disciplinary Record, eg: least amount of cards
  • Punctuality
  • Sportsmanship
  • Dress Code
  • Occasionally a Turnaround in Form


 ‘Manager of the League’ Criteria#:

  • As above (Team of month criteria)
  • Form/Results
  • Easy to Deal with ie: Admin, Courteous, etc

  • Enthusiasm – Judged by Co-ordinator & Referees
